Atlas Mechanical is currently seeking to hire an HVAC estimator. As a leader in the construction industry, it is the talent of the individuals that allows us to provide the highest level of service. The HVAC estimator is pivotal to this by estimating the costs of constructing new commercial HVAC systems. The ideal candidate will be a detail-oriented, analytical thinker, who thrives in both team and solo settings. Specific Duties – include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Review Specifications, RFP, Basis of Design and drawings to determine scope of work and required contents of estimate.
• Performs estimating process daily, including take-off’s, obtaining quotations from subcontractors & suppliers
• Preparing the proposal and other bid return documentation.
• Use of computerized estimating software.
• Support other department personnel as required.

Qualifications * High school graduate and college and minimum 2 years related experience or equivalent

• Requires strong verbal and written communication, effective organizational, troubleshooting and problem solving skills with the ability to set-up, automate and track data and information
• Ability to self-initiate activities, coordinate tasks and complete projects with strong attention to detail and follow-up
• Requires strong customer service, excellent people skills, and the ability to build and maintain supportive working relationships
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize effectively, flexibly and responsively while working with competing priorities and deadlines
• Computer proficiency with Timberline and MS Office (Word, Excel, Access, Outlook) with the ability to maintain spreadsheets and create reports and proposals
