Project Engineer-San Diego/Los Angeles/Las Vegas

Job Description

The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting the project manager and project team with project documentation and control, job cost accounting, scheduling, and construction supervision efforts. In order to be successful, this candidate should feel comfortable taking on many tasks that require various skills, and appropriately prioritizing those tasks' completion.

 Responsibilities

  • Study, amend and make recommendations for construction drawings and specification requirements and maintains current daily logs.
  • Manage procurement of equipment and major material items and monitor installation on job sites.
  • Collect necessary information from Project Foreman and Project Manager to produce RFI's
  • Prepare project schedule, including establishing dates for receiving shop drawings and other established milestones.
  • Track and monitor shop drawings, samples, major material lists, equipment, and all other required project submittals.
  • Responsible for preparing closeout documents at least 30 days prior to completion of project and ensure submission.
  • Strong communication skills
  • Detail oriented
  • Able to work individually and in group setting

 Qualifications

  • Requires engineering or construction management degree, or equivalent technical degree
  • Minimum 2 years of project management experience and/or specialized construction or engineering knowledge
  • HVAC contractor experience preferred
  • MS Office proficiency: Word, Excel, Outlook; Sage 300 (Timberline) software a plus
