The design-build UC Irvine Verano 8 Graduate Student Housing project is located on a 7.8-acre site and will feature a new complex of buildings ranging from four to six stories that will house 1,050 residents. The purpose of Verano 8 is to address the need for affordable housing, satisfy graduate student housing guarantees and secure the university’s ability to provide services and residences to its growing graduate student population. Verano 8 will also consist of the demolition and replacement of the maintenance and operations facility, a new 853-stall parking garage and a new community building comprised of lounge, social, academic, study and event spaces. 730,700 SF
